Promila Pagadala is a Senior Project Leader for translational research at Duke University and serves on the Seerion Board as a Key advisor. Promila is a valuable member of the Seerion company responsible for providing insights and strategies on Healthcare IT to translate the discoveries into patient engagement, regulatory compliance, and best practices around patient centric models.
Promila’s experiences in the biomedical research, especially product development processes, are critical in gaining insights on potential pitfalls and successful strategies to translate the basic discoveries beyond research environments on their path to clinics for improving patient outcomes. She is part of a team that selects projects to align with trends in drug discovery and portfolio goals. As a project leader, Promila supports the research teams by anticipating the needs for resources such as academic and key external partners, regulatory hurdles, and compliance, providing quarterly and annual reporting, and tracking milestone and contractual requirements.
Promila’s key strengths include preclinical, clinical, and regulatory knowledge of digital healthcare device development:
- Led preclinical studies to gather evidence for mechanism of action and efficacy of devices, as a research scientist
- Certified clinical research professional with experience in clinical trial design and regulations through SOCRA
- Certified Project Management Professional through PMCoP
Promila earned an Ph.D. with distinction from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She also holds a Master’s degree in Bio Technology from Panjab University, India where she graduated with honors.
